finally....

well thats a relief!

after a poor batting performance from most of the team it was groundhog day again!

could we keep them down to less than 4 an over? - early suggestions after the opening few overs were no we can't but as wickets finally came we started believing and i must say im very proud of the boys for their spirited fight with some excellent bowling and field work.

well done lads you deserve the taste of victory again - we can all relax this coming weekend as there's no game and come back with more of the same when we are at Home v Easton & Martyr W II on july 4th

5 defeats on the spin....what is going on!!??

all the hard work was done in the field - a much improved bowling and fielding display with some good catches being taken, though lets not mention the absolute dolly dropped by the skipper!!

So chasing 141 with a good batting line up seemed a reasonable task...lack of application and or discipline from certain players cost us a game we really should of won - i though am the captain so take full responsibility for the result having said that we do need everyone to apply themselves and use their heads aswell as their bats!

we must ALL pull together, get our heads down and work hard for each other and im sure victory will follow...

another defeat....

after yet another defeat, the mighty 'Ledge 3s maintain our mid-table position largely due to us getting over 200 runs for the 2nd week running - bowling and some of the fielding was poor as kingscleres 3rd top scorer was the extras at 55!! to be fair though their skipper (also 1st team skipper) and their number 4 bat were very good and put any short balls away(in the cabbages!)

chin up boys if we keep the 200 runs going i'm sure well find a few more wins we're after and if you look at the league table we have more batting and bowling points than top of the league team Hook...

so lets get a welcomed win at Famingo 2's next week...

4th game away v basingstoke...

though the same result as the previous two games this was a much better performance - it was very close - they were well in control, then we got it back and then we lost it which gave them the impetus to push forward and snatch a win.

having said that we dropped several catches, some pretty easy ones and a couple that were harder, we also bowled a few untidy overs that were punished - on the positive note it was good that RS, TR, SB and JM all got in the runs and DP was excellent behind the stumps

lets now push for victory against kingsclere on saturday

What a disaster!!....

Fielded sloppy, dropped catches, bowled too short and batted as if we didn't care! Approach has gotta change or the personnel will!

Hoping the weather will be alright as I think we have a good chance of making it 4 wins out of 4 again this weekend !!!!

This weekend...

After a great result last week, we look forward to our next game v ropley - we have a strong team and are looking to make it 2 wins from 2 games...
